In the first leg of their semi-final match of the Indian Super League (ISL), Bengaluru FC will face FC Goa at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Wednesday.
Whereas the Gaurs had ended second in the rankings because of 48 points from their 24 league stage games, the Blues had entered the last-four stage on the strength of a smashing 5-0 victory against Mumbai City FC.
Against Bengaluru FC, FC Goa has had a four-game-long undefeated streak, winning and drawing twice throughout this era. Though they lost 0-1 in the ISL 2018-19 final, they were at the receiving end of a loss in their prior postseason game with the Blues.
Bengaluru FC, meantime, has a strong home record against FC Goa; they have gone undefeated in their past six games and won four times. Gaurs will seek to update the record as only Kerala Blasters FC and NorthEast United FC have played more games at this stadium without guaranteeing a win (seven apiece). The last two matchups at this stadium have generated draws.
